Big Weekend for Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club

Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

We have three club activities this weekend!

1. Saturday, July 20, 2019 – We are nearing the end of the Hesco Project work and have a few more important items to do. Heavy equipment work has been going on all week and the HESCO’s are finally filled!

We have a work morning planned for this Saturday 7/20/19 from 7:00 am till 11:00 am. Main focus will be seeding and strawing the fields. Forecast is HOT then HOT so we will stop at 11:00 am. With 6-8 volunteers we can get this completed.

Please come out and help. The seeding is extremely important to the project and needs to be completed this week!

Earn Range Badge Credits. Cold water will be provided. Rick Hensley is the POC for this event.

2. Saturday, July 20, 1019, we have a 100-yard Steel Plate Rifle Shoot on the Barnes Multipurpose Range from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30: p.m. Caliber Restriction of no greater than 30 caliber, no armor piercing, green tip or black tip ammunition. Please meet at our club shed by 8:15 a.m. to help set up our steel targets.

3. Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. We have a Club Fundraiser Frame Build to benefit Arlington Juniors at the AGC Maintenance Building. No tools or woodworking skills are required. We build target frames on an assembly line basis, where each person performs one or two simple tasks. It is a lot of fun and everyone leaves with a good feeling, because they supported our Clubs Youth Shooting Program.

Have a terrific week!

Thank you,

Rob Cowan

President, Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club
