There is not a frame build this weekend

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

We built 92 frames a few weeks ago, so we do not have to have a frame build this weekend. We will probably have to do another one towards the end of July. The frames sell like hotcakes after July 1st.

Thank you for all you are doing to help our club!

Happy Independence Day!

Action Shooting and Range Badges

Members,

Over the next month or so, only AGC range badge holders may participate in ARPC action events (TNS and 3 Gun). With all of the new range bay stuff happening so quickly, the Action shooting safety rules were not put into policy yet. Effectively, guests would not be covered under insurance and the AGC would be at risk for potential litigation in the event of an accident. We know this is an inconvenience for members and their guests. This only applies to our action events. The ARPC 50, 100 and 200 yd fun shoots and bust fests will remain unaffected by this interim policy. The AGC EVP plans to present action shooting policy to the trustees in August. ARPC has been the tip of the spear in safety and has been intimately involved with the AGC EXCOM to help present a solution to the Action shooting policy.

2 Gun Completed

Members,

We had about 20 shooters today for our 2 stage 2 Gun event. The Zombie Hesco guys came out to get their first event for membership consideration. Lots of regulars and some new faces. We were done by noon. Everyone shot each stage twice. Fun was to be had by everyone and the weather was perfect. Thanks to all that helped out with moving steel and with attendance.

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

1. We have a Steel Plate Pistol Shoot Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Pistol Range.

We will need some help getting and setting up the steel targets. If you can, please give us a hand. I will be at the club shed at 8:15 a.m. to start loading the steel on the truck and will be heading over to the pistol range to set it up. Standard calibers only, no magnum rounds. Please don’t forget to bring wrap around eye protection. We will have some eye protection you can borrow.

2. I want to say a special thank you to everyone who came out to help with Arlington’s Fundraiser Frame build today. We built 92 frames by 11:00 a.m. The Arlington Juniors Team came over to thank our club’s frame builders for supporting them. It was a lot of fun. Thank you all again for volunteering your time to help our Juniors program. You really made a difference today!

3. We also had a lot of fun at Friday’s Steel Plate Pistol Fun Shoot. We had about 14 people come out for the event. We had several requests to do it again.

4. Don’t forget we have a club meeting Wednesday, on June 12th, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall.

Have a great week!
