Reminder: Arlington will have a Steel Plate Rifle Shoot on the 200 yard range Saturday and a Fundraiser Frame Build Sunday

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

1. Saturday, February 2, (Ground Hog Day!) – We will have a Steel Plate Rifle Shoot on the 200 yard range from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. If you are available to give a hand with setup, I will be at the club shed around 8:30 a.m.

This is a very popular shoot. We have caliber restrictions of (7.62 mm – .30-06 caliber or less), is allowed to shoot at our steel, green tips, black tips or any armor piercing ammunition will not be allowed to shoot at our steel. Velocity may not be greater than 3,200 feet per second (FPS).

Don’t forget to bring wrap around eye protection and ear protection for you and your guest. We will have eye and ear protection that you can borrow.

2. Sunday, February 3, We will have a fundraiser frame build benefitting our Juniors Program at the AGC Maintenance Building Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. We will only be building about 40 frames, so it should go quickly. No woodworking skills or tools are necessary. We have everything that is needed. We build frames on an assembly line basis, where each person performs one or two simple tasks. It is a lot of fun and benefits our Juniors Program. If you are a prospective member, this counts as a club event. When the frame build is over, please check out our Juniors air rifle practice in Memorial Hall.

Have a great weekend!
