100yd Steel event 30 Dec, 9 am to 2pm

Arlington Members,

Reminder: we have a Steel Plate Rifle Shoot at the Barnes Multipurpose Range this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. You can shoot steel targets at 100 yards using calibers up to 30.06 or 7.62. No magnum, armor piercing or rounds with a velocity greater than 3,200 feet per second will be allowed.

The weather is forecast to be dang cold with light snow. Be aware that if range conditions deteriorate, the AGC may close the range. We may close down early if there are only a few shooters. So please don’t show up at 1:30 when we are wrapping up for the day and get a snot bubble because we shutdown early. I’ll be at the shed at around 8:15 to setup. It won’t take long at all for setup.

Happy New Year to all and for those that don’t show, we’ll see you next year.

Reminder: Our club meeting is this Wednesday, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

Wednesday, December 13th, we will have our Arlington Club meeting will from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. We will be having our elections for club officers. You can also renew your 2018 club membership and renew your AGC Range Badge. To save time, you can download and complete the renewal form on our club website. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining our club to come to this meeting. There will be a review of all the things that are going on at the AGC and a review of upcoming club events. There will be a show and tell, so bring any new or unusual items you have to share with our club. As always, we will have a swap meet at the back of the room where you can sell, trade or give away items.

AGC Raffle Tickets will be available at the December meeting. They make great stocking stuffers! This year has some terrific prizes.

· If anyone wishes to volunteer to help me work on the AGC rental property, you can earn range badge credits towards a reduced cost or even earn a free range badge. I work there on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We need help painting, doing some minor repairs. If you are able to help, please let me know what you would like to do. I would love to see us have an Arlington Workday on a weekend and paint one of the rooms.

Saturday, December 30th, 100 yard Steel Plate Rifle Shoot from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Barnes Multipurpose range.

January 7th – Steel Plate Pistol Shoot, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Pistol Range.

Please support the AGC Raffle!

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club Members,

The AGC is having its annual AGC Memorial Hall Fund Raffle. This raffle helps raise funds to build a new Memorial Hall. I know of at least two club members who have won prizes from this raffle. Arlington took second place at the AGC for selling tickets last year. We were very close to being the leading club for selling tickets. Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club does more to support the AGC than any other club. Lets show the other clubs what Arlington can do and sell some raffle tickets! If everyone in our club sells two tickets, we stand a good chance to be the leading seller this coming year.

The tickets are $20.00 each and the date of the drawing is February 19, 2018. They make terrific stocking stuffers and gifts to friends and family.

The prizes are:

Reminder: Fundraiser Frame Build Sunday!

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

We will be having a fundraiser Frame Build this Sunday at the AGC maintenance building from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. No woodworking skills or tools are required. The frames are built on an assembly line basis, with each person performing one or two simple tasks. We have a lot of fun and everyone leaves with a good feeling for helping our Juniors Team.

In appreciation for all that our club does, our Juniors Team has asked everyone to stop by Memorial Hall and see them using the gear we are providing them. The Juniors parents will be providing snacks and refreshments for our club members.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been supporting our Juniors Fundraisers!

Have a great weekend!

Rob
