Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting a 3 Gun event on Sunday, 28 May on the AGC 200 yd range from 0900 to 1500. This is a single stage event and you will be able to run it as much as you like. The course of fire will be determined the morning of the event.

Ammo:

.22, 9, 40, 45 for pistol (no magnum)

Bird shot for shotgun

Firearms:

AR and AR type variants. No AR pistols or AK’s.

Semiauto pistols preferred

Shotgun of your choice as long as it operates safely and doesn’t jam more than it shoots.

Gear:

Holster, mag holders, shell caddy, pistol belt, full coverage eye pro, ear pro, weather appropriate clothing, and at least two mags per gun. Work gloves are a good idea if you are handling lead infested steel.

We will be at the club shed for load out at around 0815hrs and then setup on the 200 yd range. First safety brief is at 0900 and every shooter arriving will get a brief before they participate. No one shoots without a safety brief. Shooter donation for the steel fund is $10 and be sure to bring some cash for some hot chow on the range.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If there is a weather call due to rain, we will convert this event to a 200 yd static steel rifle only shooting event. Keep an eye out for emails through the club website for updates.

Any questions, send me an email through the website to the Executive Officer link. See you there!

Update: This weekend’s events

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

1. The frame build for this Saturday has been cancelled, due to the holiday. The AGC has over 40 frames in stock. Our next scheduled frame build is June 17th. If the AGC gets low in stock, we will have a small interim frame build to keep them in stock. Traditionally, June is a slow month for frame sales. July is usually a big month due to new badge holders getting the half year discount on range badges.

2. We have a 3-gun shoot Sunday on the 200 yard range. A separate announcement will be coming out shortly with the details.

3. Please keep June 3rd on your calendar. Arlington is hosting a 3 position small bore match for our Juniors program. We will need a lot of Arlington volunteers for this event, especially for setting up in the morning. Please help us support this event.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. Please keep those who gave their lives in service to our country and their families in your prayers.

Thank you,

Rob

Arlington Steel Plate Rifle Shoot Sunday May 21 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

1. Reminder: we have a Steel Plate Rifle Shoot at the Barnes Multipurpose Range this Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. You can shoot steel targets at 100 yards using calibers up to 30.06 or 7.62. No magnum, armor piercing or rounds with a velocity greater than 3,200 feet per second will be allowed.

We will need help setting up the steel, so please come out around 8:15 a.m. if you can.

2. There is a volunteer opportunity for early risers on the Barnes Range. The AGC needs help setting up additional brackets at 100 yards to hold target frames and 2 x 4 boards to support steel shooting to the left of the orange poles. The AGC needs volunteers to come out from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. to help complete this work. Cordless drills and bits will be very helpful. Volunteers can earn range badge credit to apply to next years range badge.

Thank you,

Rob
