ARPC Tactical Carbine Clinic 1 April 2017

Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting a Tactical Carbine clinic event on Saturday, 1 April 2017, 0800hrs to 1600hrs on the 200 yd AGC range. For those of you that attended last year, I remember everyone feeling pretty good about the event and some new skills they learned. So is this event for you? First off, you will be on your feet for about 8hrs, running and gunning. Most people will find this moderately challenging enough where you might want to consult your doctor. If you are looking to learn skills that help you compete better or learn how to defend your nation or home better, this is for you. It is a 3 day course compressed into one day. There is no classroom portion and it will be fast paced without leaving anyone behind.

The goal of this event is to take the intermediate to advanced AR shooter and make them better in a practical and tactical sense. There won’t be any snake oils, shooting theatrics or magic tricks. If it doesn’t make you more effective as a shooter, it won’t be demonstrated. For example, participants can expect to experience scenarios that will teach and reinforce skills required to accurately engage multiple targets from 5yds to 100yds while moving while under stress. Here is a short list of what will be covered:

The basics: stance, sights, shooting positions, trigger manipulation, mag changes, and kit selection/ setup.

The advanced: MOA, target transition, AR/ pistol transition, economy of motion, critical thinking and target selection, malfunctions, ballistics, shooter mindset

This will be a closed event to the public and anyone else that is not participating in the class. Please contact me through the club website XO email contact for details. There are 14 seats and 5 are already filled as I write this email.

Hi, Please let me know if you have any seat left for this course.  I am interested in participating in the 3 Gun competitions but would like to get some range time with some ARPC members.  What is the cost of the course for AGC members. Thanks, Lee Porter
