Reminder for upcoming Arlington events

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

Our club meeting will be held in Memorial Hall on Wednesday, December 14th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We will be having our annual election for club officers. There will be summary of what is going on at the AGC and review upcoming club events. We will have our show and tell, so bring in any unusual objects or new acquisitions that you would like to share with the club. There will be a swap meet at the back of the room, so you can buy, sell, trade or give away items. We will also have our door prize. You can also renew your club membership. To save time, please download and complete the renewal form from our club website.

* If anyone wishes to volunteer to help me work on the AGC rental property, you can earn range badge credits towards a reduced cost or even a free range badge. I work there on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We need help painting, doing some minor demolition, cleaning and some repairs. If you are able to help, please let me know what you would like to do and when you can help. I would love to see us have an Arlington Workday on a weekend and paint one of the rooms.

100 yard Riffle Shoot – Sunday, December 31st, help us ring in the new year, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the 100 yard rifle range.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Happy New Year for 2017!

Best wishes to you and your families in the New Year,

Rob

3 Gun Event Saturday, 10 December 2016

Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting the last 3 Gun event for 2016 on Saturday, 10 December on the AGC 200 yd range from 0900 to 1500. We will have our usual complement of steel and target toys. So, if Xmas shopping has got you down, be sure to come out sling some high speed lead onto steel to blow off some steam. Nothing new here. Same rules as always. The fastest, safest shooter with the best time wins.

Ammo:

.223/ 5.56 only for rifle (no green tip or armor piercing)

.22, 9, 40, 45 for pistol (no magnum)

Bird shot for shotgun

Firearms:

AR and AR type variants. No AR pistols or AK’s

Semiauto pistols preferred but if you are Jerry Miculek, bring a wheel gun

Shotgun of your choice as long as it operates safely and doesn’t jam more than it shoots

Gear:

Holster, mag holders, shell caddy, pistol belt, full coverage eye pro, ear pro, weather appropriate clothing, and at least two mags per gun.

We will be at the club shed for load out at around 0800hrs and then setup on the 200 yd range. First safety brief is at 0900 and every shooter arriving will get a brief before they participate. Shooter donation for the steel fund is $10 and be sure to bring some cash for some hot chow on the range. The weather is forecast to be a little brisk but you’ll forget about all that when you are running and gunning. For those that have never been to an ARPC 3 Gun, come and check it out. You might get hooked and end up spending all your kids Christmas present money on gear and guns for yourself. Any questions, send me an email through the website to the Executive Officer link. See you there!
