Baltimore Sun Article about todays 43 Bomber Group Reunion

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

Thank you very much to everyone who came out and volunteered to make this event so special for the veterans and their families. It was truly an honor to meet these heroes and hear their stories.

Keep an eye out in the near future for a book called Lucky 666 which is about a crew in the 43rd Bomber Group. They took on the most dangerous missions. Their final mission is where two of the crew were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Click on the link below for the story in the Baltimore Sun and a short video. You may recognize a club member in the video.

I also want to give a special thanks to everyone who assisted Wendy and Cissy with the Women on Target Program today. It was a huge success.

Tomorrow is our Libby Match, please come out and give us a hand. We will start setting up targets around 7:30 a.m. the tournament will be over around 2:30 p.m.

Thank you,
Rob

The story in The Baltimore Sun is below. It turned out to be a very nice piece. There is video on the website (click the link above) and there should be a story in the paper in the morning so everyone can see it before they leave town.

Thanks for inviting me to this terrific event. Really appreciate it!

Roof repair project at the AGC tomorrow starting at noon

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

If anyone is available tomorrow around 12:00, we will be working on repairing the roof at the pistol pavilion and could use some help. We will be screwing sheets of corrugated metal down to the wooden frame. It shouldn’t take long to do this. If you can make it, please bring leather gloves for handling the 2′ x 4′ and 2′ x 6′ corrugated metal sheets. If you have a cordless drill please bring it, but we will be okay without it. It shouldn’t take more than two hours to do this project. Anyone who comes out to help can earn range badge credits towards the purchase of your range badge for next year.

Thank you,

Rob
