Reminder: Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club meeting tomorrow night

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

Don’t forget, we will have a club meeting Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall. We will discuss upcoming events and give you the latest news.

We will have a show and tell time, so bring out your latest acquisition or an interesting item that you would like to share with the club.

Thank you to everyone who came out to build frames last weekend. We built 60 frames! Since July is when new members can buy range badges at half price they have been selling like hotcakes. The AGC is asking us to build more so they don’t run out. We will have a smaller frame build, where we will build 40 frames this coming Saturday, July 16th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. outside our club shed. Please come out and help. It is an important fundraiser for our Juniors team. No tools or skills are required. We work on an assembly line basis, where each person performs one or two simple tasks. Those who help are able to buy a frame at a discount.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Saturday’s pistol shoot. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We appreciate everyone helping to set up and take down the club gear. A special thanks goes out to Mom Pat and Bob for taking care of us by making sure we were all well fed.

Mom Pat and Bob also made a special effort to feed the 4-H kids who were mulching trees at the range and picking up litter on Marriottsville Road. The kids and parents were grateful for the chow.

Sunday, July 24th we will be having a 3-Gun shoot with Greenbelt Gun Club at the 200 yard range from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The course of fire will be posted in the near future.

Thanks again to all of our volunteers. We couldn’t possibly do the events we do, without your assistance.

I hope everyone is having a terrific summer!

Rob
