ARPC Web Site Features

It is time for range badge and ARPC club membership renewals and I’d like to point out some of the features we have instituted and incorporated into the club’s web site. Last year we began club membership renewals by mail. Turn around, under normal circumstances takes approximately five days. Please take advantage of it. Find the Membership & Dues Payment form under “Downloads.” As always, the club mailing address is noted in the welcome post at the top of the web site. The AGC badge renewal process can be started at home by clicking the AGC badge icon and making credit card payment on-line. Print the receipt and take it to the range for your annual sticker. The NRA membership renewal process can be done from home as well. Click the NRA icon and you’re half way there to secure your membership or renewal on-line. The club gets a stipend for every transaction made. Interested in the CMP or the AGC? Just another click away. Yes, we also host information about club events and schedules. Changing e-mail addresses? Don’t forget to add your addy to the club blog follower. Wondering why I ask for your e-mail address? There is the answer. Looking for a club officer’s e-mail address? They are listed by title on the site. Wondering how to find the club site? Look here: https://arlingtonrpc.org/

We have close to 170 members now. If you have recommendations to improve our ability to push information “out there” please let us know. Also, we may be lacking so if there is something club related and you can’t find it, let us know that too.

If you’d like to be a club ambassador, we have “business cards” to give shooters that may be interested in joining the ARPC. Contact me at most any event or monthly meeting and I’ll give you a few.

Subject: ARPC 2015 Membership Renewals

Effective immediately, membership renewals for 2015 will be accepted by mail only. Please forward your renewal request using the 2015 Membership and Dues Payment Form (found under web site downloads – https://arlingtonrpc.org/) along with your $40.00 check to:

Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc.
PO Box 69
Simpsonville, Maryland 21150-0069.

It has come to my attention some members have not received their 2015 membership cards by return mail. Specifically, those posted in mid-October and mid-November are no shows. If you have mailed your renewal application and have not received your new membership card, please let me know (arlingtonrpc.treasurer@gmail.com) The Christmas rush has slowed me down a bit. I’ll be processing membership renewals received Christmas week over the weekend. They will be posted no later than 30 December.

Since we opened the 2015 membership renewal process, approximately one third of the 2014 membership has renewed. We have gained nine new members thus far.

Happy and a Safe New Year to All!

Club Events for the Rest of 2014

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

Saturday, December 6th, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.; our fundraiser frame build for is going to be cancelled. In it’s place, we will be having a gun cleaning clinic in the lower Barnes Classroom. Bring your firearms and cleaning gear and have some fun, while giving your firearms some long needed TLC. Its a great opportunity to learn how to clean your firearms.

Wednesday, December 10th from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., we will be having our club meeting. We will be having our annual elections for club officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Executive Officer. Please consider supporting our club by running for office.

Saturday, December 13th, we will be having a 200 yard steel plate rifle shoot on the 200 yard range. It is a great opportunity for everyone to shoot long distance. Last years shoot was well attended and everyone had a great time. Please no armor piercing or magnum ammunition.

Saturday, December 27th, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., we will be having a 100 yard steel plate rifle shoot. Lets celebrate 2014 and send it out with a bang/ting by shooting steel at the 100 yard range.

I want to thank everyone for making this such a successful year for our club. I cannot thank those of you who volunteered this year enough. We could not possibly have put on the club events we did without your help. Our club membership is growing and we are doing more diverse and interesting events.
Next year will be even more fun.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.
