ARPC All Hands: CLUB PICNIC

We last wrote announcing our plans to have a ARPC picnic on Sunday 7 September 2014. The picnic will be held in conjunction with the always popular Shotgun Bust Fest.

We are now asking you to commit. We need a rough idea how many club members and guests will be attending so we can sort out menu items and project cost.

The club will provide the brats, burgers and dogs with drinks and sundry items such as plates, utensils and the like. We will ask members and guests to bring sides to complete the service.
More on that in August.

For now, please reply to: arlingtonrpc.treasurer@gmail.com indicating your intention to attend, the number of guests and if there are special menu items or diet restrictions we should be aware of.

Please and I can’t stress this enough, reply soonest. I will compile a separate e-mail alias of those interested in attending and will initiate future picnic correspondence using that alias exclusively.

Expect to get a read from us in early August with additional details.

BTW: This picnic will be held rain or shine. Memorial Hall has been reserved for the afternoon.

Bust Fest This Saturday, 28 June 2014

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

We have a Bust Fest this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost of the shoot is: $10.00 for all the birds you can break. The AGC restricts the ammunition you can use to Target loads with #7.5, #8 or # 9 shot. The velocity must be 1200 Feet Per Second (FPS) or less with no more than 3 drams of powder. There will be food and drink at the shoot.

If you can, please come out by 8:15 a.m. to help set up the shoot. We have coolers, table, canopy and other equipment in the Juniors shed that needs to be brought up to the Trap 1. We also have to get the Lincoln throwers out of Memorial Hall. Also, Pat will need help setting up the canopy and food table.

It looks like it will be a terrific day to get outside and have fun.

Have a great weekend!
Rob

We Need Campaign Signs For Frame Builds

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club,

Please contact your local county political clubs and or candidates, be they Democrat or Republican and ask them if we can have their plastic political signs when they are finished with them. We are willing to drive around an pick them up.

We are getting very low and really need to stock up on these signs to use for our Juniors fundraiser frame builds. The 4 x 8 foot signs are preferred, but we can use anything that is larger than 17″ x 30″.

Thank you,
Rob

Help Needed for Libby Match Tomorrow!!

To Arlington Club members,

We can use your help!!! Tomorrow is the Arlington sponsored Libby Small bore match for Juniors from throughout the metropolitan area. We are expecting from 40 – 50 Juniors to participate in tomorrows Libby Match. Arlington sponsors this tournament every year.

We need club members by the Juniors shed by 8:00 a.m. in the morning to help set up the competition frames and set up the shoot. We also need help with scoring targets. This is not complicated, but the more folks we have to help, the faster it goes.

Please come out and give us a hand.

Thank you,
Rob
