Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club members and Guests,

Upcoming events:

Saturday, December 8th Frame build to benefit our Juniors Team from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the basement classroom of the Barnes Range House. No tools or skills are required. We build the frames on an assembly line with each person performing one or two simple tasks. All the materials are ready to go and we should be able to bang out the targets in a few hours. We always have a lot of fun at the builds.

Wednesday, December 12th, Arlington Club meeting, at Memorial Hall from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. This meeting will be our annual club elections for club president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and Executive Officer. Ken Brown and Courtney White, will at our club meeting to take photographs and sell AGC range badges. If you haven’t already done so, you can pay your $40 for your 2013 Arlington club dues, then buy your $150 AGC range badge from Ken or Courtney at our meeting. If can’t wait for the meeting, you will be able to start buying your range badges at the Barnes Range house on Sunday December 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, December 15th Sporting Clays Shoot at the following location:

This is a large shotgun range with trap, skeet, wobble and sporting clays. The cost of sporting clays is $20 for 50 rounds and it is open to the public. The Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and their website iswww.nvrpa.org/park/bull_run_public_shooting_center (there are underscores between last four words).

Steve Hackett reports that the range is about a one-hour drive from Owings Mills. If anyone wishes to carpool, it is suggested that you meet at the AGC around 8:00 a.m. and carpool to the range.

The goal is to get to the Bull Run Range by 9:30 a.m.

If you get to the Bull Run Range, look for Dave Boone and Steve Hackett.

January 6, 2013, Sunday, Frame Build from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to benefit our Juniors Team from in the basement classroom of the Barnes Range House. No tools or skills are required. January 9, Wednesday – Club meeting from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall.

January 13, 2013, Sunday – Club Pistol Shoot from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Pistol Range. We will be shooting steel plates at 50 yards, plastic jugs, softballs and plastic farm animals at 25 yards and paper targets at 10 yards.

January 27,, 2013, Sunday – Bust Fest Trap shoot at the AGC Trap range. Three throwers will be tossing 1 – 2 clay pigeons at a time in the air for each shooter. It’s a lot of fun for new and experienced shooters.

If anyone is interested you can volunteer at the AGC to earn range badge credits towards a free AGC range badge.

The club events calendar on the right-hand side of the web page is updated through December 2013. There may be a couple of changes to events on June 9 – the pistol shoot one day after the Lewis Libby Match – and November 10 – conflict between a Bust Fest and Frame Build, so keep watch on those dates.
