Thank You to Everyone for the Lewis Libby Match Weekend

To Arlington Rifle and Pistol Club Members and Guests,

Wow, what a weekend it was last week! The full details of the results of the Libby match will be forthcoming, but we had a great showing of 31 shooters at the match. Until we get the write-up posted, here are some photos of the participants who received awards. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with the planning, set up, running the line, scoring targets and to Jim for taking pictures. A big thank you to Shelton Parker for all of the work he did to plan, organize and run the match. Shelton, you did a terrific job! Thanks again to everyone for making the Lewis Libby match such a success.

Our club pistol shoot last weekend was the biggest we have had in years. We had approximately 30 guests in attendance. We had a carnival shoot for pistols, with steel plates, jugs, balls, home made reactive plywood bowling pins that fell down when you shot them and an assortment of paper targets. A special thanks to Chuck who had a non stop pistol clinic going. Andy had a large contingent of parents from the Boy Scouts and was kind enough to bring coffee and doughnuts. Caffeine and sugar, gave us all the steady hands we needed when shooting. Thanks to all of our club members and guests who pitched in to help with the guests, set up and take down of the targets. You all made it all possible!

Welcome to our three new club members, who were voted in this weekend.

We have the following events coming up in July:

Frame Build – Saturday, July 7th

Saturday, July 7th – Many hands make light work. The frame build benefits our Juniors team and will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the lower Barnes Range House. No skills or tools are necessary. Builders work on an assembly line performing a specific task. You are guaranteed to have a great time and to leave with a good feeling that you have supported our Juniors Team. Attendance at this event counts toward the three events prospective members need for membership.
